Components
Your users can create customizable components for your brand and then reuse them in different contexts. They can have a custom appearance and then change based on the context where they are being used.
Responsive resize
Responsive resizing automatically adjusts and sizes pictures and other objects on the artboards. This allows the person to have their content automatically adjusted for different screens for different sized platforms such as mobile phones and PCs
Plugins
XD is compatible with many customization options, with plugins designed for design, automation, animation, and more.
Adobe XD Learn Hub
The Learn Hub, launched in 2021, is a resource for getting to know XD and what features are offered by the program. The Getting Started series includes beginner to advanced tips and tricks for improving your design work.
Repeat grid
This app gives you the ability to create a repeating grid of items like lists, and photo galleries. It’s an easy way to organize your content and make it easy for people to find specific sections on your website.
Prototype and animation
Animations have been made more accessible on mobile devices in recent years, and now you can create animations through linking artboards. Your company or website design team will be able to preview the prototype on their device and make instant changes when needed.
Interoperability
XD supports and can open files from Illustrator, Photoshop, Photoshop Sketch, and After Effects. In addition to the Creative Cloud, XD can also connect to other tools and services such as Slack and Microsoft Teams to collaborate. XD is designed to switch seamlessly between the different operating systems without any interruptions. This can be used for security purposes in case a prototype is accidentally sent out unprotected.
Content-Aware Layout
Content-Aware Layout helps with design and layout without the input from a hint. It aligns objects evenly and separates them correctly to give your project a professional look. With its Smart controls, you can quickly make changes on the fly.
Voice design
Apps can now be designed using voice commands. What you create for your smart assistant will also be shown as you are creating it.
Adobe Live
Adobe Live is a live stream hosted on Behance, where online training for Adobe products takes place. It doesn’t just offer training for one or two specific programs either, with topics ranging from AI design management to how to use the retouch tool in Photoshop.
