Alexander Dominguez Carabali (born June 5 1987) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who is goalkeeper at Categoria Primera A Club Deportes Tolima and the Ecuador national team.

Dominguez was a player for L.D.U. Quito from 2006 until the year 2016 when he took the spot of Jose Francisco Cevallos. He took home three Ecuadorian Serie A titles, the 2009 Copa Sudamericana, the 2009 Recopa Sudamericana and the 2010 Recopa Sudamericana .
Dominguez is among the best goalkeepers in the world. He’s the third-highest in the rankings of Ecuadorian and the top ranking actively Ecuadorian by the amount of time that he has not conceded the goal. Between 2 September 2007 and 28 , October 2007, Dominguez played 719 minutes without scoring one goal. He’s been dubbed “Dida” in honor of the Brazilian keeper with his name.

Dominguez was signed by Uruguayan Club Cerro Largo as a free agent on the 20th of August 2021. He was the first player to play in a league match on the 13th of September, 2021.
Dominguez is an ex- Ecuadorian youth player who represented the country in the 2007 South American U-20 Championship.
Dominguez was first called up in the national senior Ecuador national team in May 2010 , for friendly matches with Mexico as well as South Korea. But, he remained an uninvolved substitute. Due to club commitments the player was not given another invitation until February of 2011 for a friendly game against Honduras. In the end, he was an unreserved substitute. Manager ReinaldoRueda finally handed Dominguez his first start on March 26, 2011 in a 2-0 loss to Colombia. In the 2010 Copa America, he served as a backup for Marcelo Elizaga.
He was Ecuador’s primary goalkeeper in 2014. FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with 12 appearances in the match for La Tri.
The month of June was when Dominguez got a place in the Ecuadorian squad for 2014’s FIFA World Cup. On the 15th of June the 15th of June, he played debut in his FIFA World Cup debut in the 2-1 loss to Switzerland on the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia.
On the 25th of June of the year 2014 ended, Dominguez received the Man of Match award against. France in Ecuador’s final match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Dominguez was able to keep a clear sheet and was able to stop shots by players such as Karim and Benzema as well as Paul Pogba, and Olivier Giroud.
