Club Career

Initial career

As a player in the midfield, Maxso was a player in the youth ranks of Brondby IF who he joined at age six. The year 2009 saw him make it to the U-17 team. He played for a starting spot in midfield, competing against Pierre-Emile Hjbjerg, Andrew Hjulsager, and Frederik Holst who are all regulars of the Danish U-17 team. At the beginning of his time at Brondby, Maxso did not make a splash as a player. On August 4 on the 4th of August, 2017 the news broke the news that Andreas Maxso was sold to the Turkish club Osmanlispor. In the match of his Super Lig debut against Yeni Malatyaspor the club, he scored his debut strike for his club but failed to stop the team from losing 3-1. Maxso struggled to establish his spot with Osmanlispor and was dismissed after the break in the 4-2 defeat to Sivasspor on the 17th of September. He was eliminated as a part of the defense that conceded four goals just before half-time. Then, Maxso put in strong performances throughout the season as he played in the first 15 games. However, Osmanlispor finished the first period of the season 16th in the league table.

FC Zurich
