In March, Xiaomi’s Black Shark launched the Black Shark 5 Series. It includes three smartphones: Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro. The lineup is currently only available in China. However, it will be made available worldwide starting next month with Malaysia.
Black Shark’s Malaysian Division took to social media to announce launch of Malaysia’s Black Shark 5 and Black Shark Pro will launch next month, June 8. The event will start at 7PM local and be streamed live on Black Shark’s TikTok and Facebook accounts.
Black Shark 5 Pro and Black Shark 5 Pro specifications
The Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro have 6..67 inches displays with a resolution 2400 x 1080 pixels. Both smartphones have a 144Hz display. This is essential for gaming smartphones. The Black Shark 5 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipet, while the Black Shark 5 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Both are based upon 7nm architecture. Both processors provide flagship performance, but the SD 8 Gen 1 is more powerful.

The Black Shark 5 has a 64MP primary sensor, and two secondary cameras: a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone also features a 16MP selfie camera. The Black Shark 5 Pro has a 108MP primary camera and two secondary cameras, a 13MP ultrawide and telephoto macro 5MP. This smartphone’s front camera is identical to the one on the other. Both smartphones have a 4,650mAh battery which supports 120W fastwired charging. Pricing information is not available at this time.
