FIA Arrests Man for 'Impersonating' PM Shehbaz on Twitter

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detained a person who was spreading false information about Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Twitter.

According to reports of the investigation, the FIA located the individual who had a Twitter account under the name @RameeRajaLive. He was arrested when he changed his account name to ‘Shahbaz’.

In this context, Shehbaz Sharif’s Focal Person on Digital Media, Abu Bakar Umer has said that the person who was arrested has admitted to the crimes he committed.

The suspect has been arrested under section 16 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 as well as 505 and 419 and 505 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) The person who was the focal point has been added.

The Twitter account that had the name ‘RameeRajaLive’ has over 30,000 fans, as well with a tick in blue an emblem that is given by Twitter for verified accounts.

The person who created this account tweeted a plethora of tweets regarding the Federal government. The account was removed.
