Sponsors are a major factor in every tournament or event and it’s not uncommon to find a variety of top corporations seeking sponsorship opportunities in accordance with the particular event. In the case of a world-class showpiece event such as the World Cup, it would be not a surprise that some of the largest companies in the world would want to become part of an event like this.
It is true that the FIFA World Cup is one of the most effective global marketing platforms for companies to get their message across to a wide public. The top brands such as Coca-Cola, Adidas, Wanda Group as well as Qatar Airways have all partnered with FIFA in the lead-up to 2022’s Qatar World Cup 2022. Companies like Coca-Cola and Adidas have been able to enjoy the benefits of a partnership with FIFA for several years that have been part of the World Cup now.
A few new names have come on board this time to sponsor Qatar 2022. India-based EdTech Company BYJU and VIVO are two of the names that spring to mind. On the official FIFA website, There are other brands from various sectors that are on the list of sponsors.

As of the date of this writing, there were seven sponsors who have been named prior to the contest. These include:

Qatar Energy
Budweiser
Hisense
McDonald’s
Vivo
But, BYJU, an Indian platform for education, Cypto.com, a Cryptocurrency exchange located in Singapore, and QatarEnergy which is a company that produces petroleum located in Qatar are the three major sponsors.

“Crypto.com has already proven its commitment to support top-of-the-line teams and leagues, big sporting events, and iconic venues across the globe, and there is no other platform that’s more powerful than, or with more reach and impact on the culture as FIFA’s global platform of football.” FIFA’s chief commercial officer Kay Madati said after unveiling Crypto.com as a partner.
“We are delighted to be in a position to be a global company like Crypto.com to join our team as a major partner of the exciting and groundbreaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar which will ultimately help to expand our wonderful sport on a global level.”
Crypto.com already has several football-related sponsorships, such as with French team Paris Saint-Germain and the Italian Serie A.

It is the FIFA World Cup is perhaps the largest platform for brands to show off new products as well as innovative technological capabilities and build a community of supporters and enhance the experience of watching for viewers. This year’s FIFA World Cup 2022 is scheduled to begin on the 21st of November to the 18th of December 2022 and the countdown to the event is underway already. Qatar Airways are perhaps the one to be on the lookout for as the most recent name to collaborate with FIFA in the lead-up to this year’s World Cup. They’re easily among the largest airlines in the Middle East and the world as a whole. Their partnership with FIFA is believed to be the biggest in the history of Qatar Airways.
