It is true that the using AI projects of Google are very popular in the tech world However, its products aren’t liked by the people who use them.
Most likely because they’re not really useful to everyone, recently at Google I/O 2022, the company revealed that it would like to create something for employees who work from home. The camera and microphone built into the phone used by WFH professionals were not of the highest quality. The pixels were mostly dimly lit and the audio sounded like broken phone sound.
However, Google believes it has the ability to be able to fix the problem thanks to using AI(artificial intelligence). At Google I/O 2022, the company announced that the Workspaces team is developing an AI that will improve meeting experience for virtual participants.
They called it the ‘Potrait fix which Google will automatically enhance and sharpen images even with poor connectivity or a poor camera. Vertical lighting Vertical lighting will improve the quality of video calls by providing using AI(artificial intelligence) of controls to regulate how users can utilize the lightning effects on the screen. In fact, you can create fake light effects to make the video appear brighter by using Google Meet, even when there aren’t windows in the room.
Additionally in terms of audio quality, Google has launched the de-reverberation software that was created to cut down on the echo caused by talking to the laptop in a dark space. Google has been working on machine learning to enhance the efficiency of its Pixel phones more effective.
The algorithms used in these phones are far superior than the webcam performance of the average laptop. With these factors at heart, the business plans to provide its customers a highly-needed feature to employees who work at home.
Additionally, Google plans to introduce a new tool to create automated reports of Spaces activities so that users can log in early in the morning to be able to catch up quickly without needing to read through many messages.
