ISLAMABAD: Former special adviser to prime minister Shahbaz Gill said Monday that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s two mobile phones were taken in the Sialkot jalsa.The PTI leader, in a tweet, claimed that in the wake of Khan’s threat to publishing an “recorded video” — where the ex-prime minister claims there are characters in the background of his demise The government has been agitated. Gill said that the incident occurred when the government taken away the security details of the former prime minister.

Gill’s announcement comes shortly following the announcement by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed to the interior ministry to provide water-tight security to former Prime Minister Khan at his residence in Islamabad and at political rallies. In this context the prime minister had two meetings to assess the threat level together with representatives from the interior ministry to finalise the security plan of the former prime minister.

At Khan’s home at Bani Gala, 94 security personnel will be stationed according to the spokesperson for the interior ministry. Of them, 22 will be part of the Islamabad Police and 72 from the Frontier Constabulary. Additionally 26 security officers from the services and nine personnel from the military will be available. A spokesperson from the interior ministry spokesperson added that should there be a specific danger to former premier, more security personnel will be available.
