IPhone 14 front Facing Camera will come from a South Korean supplier for the first time:
Apple has reportedly ejected the Chinese candidate and chose LG Innotek, a South Korean company, to provide the Front Facing Camera on the iPhone 14 along with Japan’s Sharp. The company is believed to had originally thought of switching over to LG in the future for its iPhone 15’s Front Facing Camera, but pushed the move forward until later the end of this year.
The change could be due to Apple changing the classification of the Front Facing Camera component as an “high-end” component and quality concerns about Chinese suppliers.
The Front Facing Camera in the new model will cost about three times the cost of cameras in earlier iPhone model.

The report confirms a previous speculation by expert Ming-Chi Kuo which claimed that theFront Facing Camera of the iPhone 14 will feature autofocus at first. Kuo claimed that all four iPhone 14 models, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, will have an upgraded front-facing camera with autofocus as well as the ability to have a larger f/1.9 aperture.
An aperture that is larger will let more light traverse the lens to be able to reach the Front Facing Camera sensor in iPhone 14 models. iPhone 14 models, resulting in a higher quality image.
