It Exports of Pakistan, including computers, telecommuting, as well as information services, have reached an all-time high of $2.198 million during the time period of July 2021 through April 2022. This is 29% higher than the $1.7 billion paid out in the same timeframe of the fiscal year 2020–21.
In accordance with State Bank of Pakistan data, It Exports of Pakistan remittances increased by 29% and surpassed 249 million at the end of the month in 2022. This marks an uptick of $193 million in April 2021.
However, It Exports of Pakistan export remittances fell by 4% over the month of April 2022 when compared to the figure of $260 million recorded in March.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, declared Pakistan the perfect place to invest in the field of technology. The government plans to increase It Exports of Pakistan by an amount ranging from $1.5 million to $13 billion in the next few years.
The premier said that in order to reach this goal, tech companies with offices in other countries will be assisted with government assistance in every aspect that involves expansion, investments, and close collaboration.
The Ministry of Information Technology presented suggestions to the cabinet at the previous meeting in order to increase sales. The cabinet directed the ministry to make recommendations, which will be discussed with the Economic Coordination Committee and then presented to the cabinet.
PM Sharif addressed his audience and said that Pakistan was an ideal location to expand exports and make investments in IT. IT is an area that needs to be capitalized on.
Syed Aminul Haq, Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications has instructed PSEB to adopt every method to meet the objective which is IT Export Money Transfer. He has stated that, as part of the prime minister’s strategy “Digital Pakistan,” it is essential to enhance the technology aspect of everything and expose the young and college students in particular to the digital world.
