On the eve of WWDC 2023, US retailer B & H listed a pair of unreleased m2 mac mini models. The first is a Mac mini with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with the official Apple M2 chip on hold, and the second is a Mac mini tower with an M1 Pro chip.

The list of both devices is just before Cupertino’s large software-centric conference. This is interesting to understand why Apple is releasing new hardware at this point.

As for the Mac Mini Tower model, it seems to be a step beyond the regular Mac Mini, which still uses the first-generation Apple M1 chipset.

In related news, renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared details about Apple’s upcoming MacBook Air. Kuo believes Apple will ship  67 million ultrabooks by the third quarter of this year.

An ongoing COVID blockade in China could delay the release date of new laptops. Quanta and Foxconn are said to be the two major suppliers of the upcoming MacBook Air.
