ISLAMABAD – Marco Lucchesi’s love of Allama Iqbal, Urdu, and Marco Lucchesi will bring the two countries closer. Dr. Yousuf Khushk (Pakistan Academy of Letters) was the Chairman of this panel discussing “Contemporary Brazilian Literature”. He also spoke out about the publication of “Selected Stories of Brazil”, a translation of which he said was a landmark in the development of literature between these two countries.

Dr. Yousaf introduced Mr. Marco Lucchesi and said that he is a poet, writer, and translator. He was also the ex-president of the Brazilian Academy of Letters. More than 15 languages have been translated from his books. He was also a professor at Rio de Janeiro’s Federal University.

He has been awarded literary awards in Brazil and France, Italy, Portugal Portugal, Romania, and Germany, as well as Romania, Romania, Germany, France, and Romania.

The PAL Islamabad invited Mr. Marco Lucchesi, a prominent Brazilian poet, writer, journalist, writer, and translator to talk about contemporary Brazilian literature.

They were also beneficial to contemporary Brazilian literature. Even post-modern intellectual discourses and artistic discourses have influenced Brazilian literature.

Brazilian poets and writers have always been aware of the spirit of the times, and have included contemporary issues in their writings.

He stated that Brazil was always under the control of Portugal. Our literature is a subjugate to the cultural heritage. Our national poet has made a significant impact on our cultural heritage. He stated that he was not fluent in all languages but will now try to learn Urdu.

He was greatly appreciated by the audience for his desire to do so. He stated that Allama Iqbal was undoubtedly one of the greatest poets in the world.

He considers Iqbal his favorite poet, and he translated his poems into Portuguese. He then presented a translation of Iqbal’s poem in his pleasant style to the audience and was praised by them.

The discussion was made more interesting by the questions that were raised by the intellectuals and writers who participated in it.

A ceremony of introduction was held to translate the book “Selected Stories of Brazil”, published by the PAL.

Marco Lucchesi thanked Dr. Yousuf Khaushk, Chairman of the PAL for inviting him to Pakistan, and expressed appreciation for his efforts.

It attracted many writers, poets, intellectuals, as well as heads of literary organizations from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and particularly poetry.
