Morteza Pouraliganji played for Paykan Babol, PAS Tehran, Persepolis and Naft Tehran during his early career. He was a player at Naft Tehran until 2013.

After his promotion, Pouraliganji began his professional career with Naft Tehran on July 1 2010. He scored his debut goal against Paykan in a 4-1 win. After his time with the club with two goals in 73 games.
