Finalization of the Preferential Trade Agreement between Pakistan and Turkey is a hot topic nowadays and in this regard, more than 150 Pakistani and Turkish businessmen, investors, and traders attended the Business to Business (B2B) event co-hosted by the Pakistani Ministry of Commerce and Turkish Ministry of Trade in Ankara in celebration of the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s trip to Turkey.
The group that joined the occasion of finalization of the Preferential Trade Agreement belonging to Pakistan comprised of businesspeople, assembled in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) was comprised of the industries with a great potential for exports to Turkey like food processing, pharmaceuticals, engineering and rice, the information and communication technology (IT) and textiles, etc.
The Federal Minister of Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar who is with the premier, also had meetings together within the form of Dr. Mehmet Mus Minister of Trade of Turkey and discussed during the finalization of the Preferential Trade Agreement how to improve bilateral trade, in line with the potential of bilateral trade that is not fully explored.
Both sides stressed the importance of a quick conclusion of the Preferential Trade Agreement in goods that could open opportunities to enhance bilateral trade across all industries and be beneficial to both sides.
In a meeting with Pakistani and Turkish businessmen and businessmen, the Minister for Commerce stressed the necessity of increasing B2B interactions to strengthen the trade and investment relationships between the two countries that are brotherly Pakistan as well as Turkey.Read more
