Queen Elizabeth II Celebrates her 96th Birthday:
Happy Birthday, Queen Elizabeth! Today we celebrate her 96th birthday with a celebration of her Platinum Jubilee. Our newest Barbie doll is one small way of doing that and recognizing her lasting legacy.
The Barbie’s dress is inspired by one of the queen’s most famous looks and the collectible doll wears a fairytale gown, lace with frilly decorations, and a sparkling tiara based on Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara.
When she came to the throne in 1952, she showed all of us leadership, diplomacy, and just how strong a woman can be. She’s awesome! said in a statement via Mattel.
