Ryan Strain (born 2 April 1997) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a right back or winger for Mirren and for the Australia National team.
Club career
Adelaide United
On September 22, 2017, Ryan Strain signed a scholarship of one-year agreement with Adelaide United. Three months later, he signed another two-year contract extension to become a senior player. This makes him the 30th player in the club’s history to move from Adelaide United’s junior team into their senior team.
Maccabi Haifa
In June 2021, Ryan Strain joined the Israeli club.
St Mirren
In June 2022, Ryan Strain joined the Scottish club with a two-year contract that was signed following the expiry of his contract with Israeli Maccabi Haifa. His father Gerry Baker played for the Paisley club 1958 between 1958 and 1960. The club was founded in 1958.

International Career
Youth
The Ryan Strain was named in an Australian under-20 squad in August of 2015.
In November 2020 Ryan Strain was invited in November 2020 to join the Australian under-23 team to play in friendly matches against A-League sides. The strain was first introduced on the 17th of November 2020 in a training match against Macarthur FC, the newly expanded A-League team Macarthur FC.
Senior

The strain was selected for his place in the Australian seniors in 2021 to play the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against China and Vietnam. The team was unable to play China and Vietnam. The strain was not a part of any of the games according to media reports, suggesting that he was injured in his hamstring. The strain was injured in the hamstring.

The Ryan Strain was called back to the Australian team in September 2022, for two friendly games with New Zealand in the leadup to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
