Sky frequently releases some huge bargains in the build-up to Black Friday. Many TV providers will be gearing up for a hectic few weeks ahead, vying to offer buyers the very best prices to convince them to switch.
Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping times of the year and takes place on the final working Friday of November every year. This year’s event will take place on Friday, November 25, with Cyber Monday following thereafter on November 28, 2022. Both days attempt to provide buyers with unique bargains and formally mark the start of the countdown in the shopping calendar to Christmas.
The event initially emerged from the USA but is now famous internationally for its discounts and intriguing offerings. The retail market is crowded with Black Friday discounts, however, so it might be tough to judge if the deal you are looking for is a good one. However, if you’re thinking of getting a new TV or moving to a new TV contract, then Sky is a popular brand to be linked with, but their offers aren’t always the greatest out there.
With this in mind, we have produced a list of everything you need to know about Sky TV’s offers for Black Friday 2022, including current discounts and what they provided purchasers last year. It was a busy period for the telecommunications business as they released their new Sky Glass TV in October, so what’s in store for them next?
When are the Sky TV Black Friday sales?
It was an exciting moment for Sky last year when they released the Sky Glass TV in October, and the months that followed saw the introduction of the first-of-a-kind streaming TV which doesn’t need a satellite or TV box. Read about it here. Sky doesn’t normally advertise any offers until the day itself.
Last year, they released a number of bargains on their TV area on the day before Black Friday, November 25, 2021. So if you’re waiting for any new offers to emerge with Sky TV this year, I would keep their home page bookmarked here, and designate the date of November 24, 2022, as well as Black Friday itself (November 25, 2022). (November 25, 2022).
What to Anticipate on Black Friday at Sky TV?
Sky attracted criticism last year for its TV packages. The tech giant organizes offers all year round, and since they do, many current customers and potential consumers of Sky felt as if their Black Friday specials were no different.
Sky’s ‘Ultimate TV’ package was their lowest available bundle for Black Friday 2022, but the £26 per month price tag was no different from what you shoppers would have seen had they explored the website a month before.
Similarly, “Sky Glass” was still offered at the same price it was upon its October introduction. That didn’t mean there weren’t any discounts to be obtained; they were simply rare on the TV front. Their internet and cellphone bundles looked to have more of an offering.
It’s impossible to determine what Sky will accomplish for their TV offering this year, but I assume it may be somewhat better than last year’s event given the Sky Glass TV will be more than one year old. They could probably bring out discounts on this TV bundle as well as the Sky Puck, which you can read more about here.
Discounts will also be seen on their Sky Q bundles, with Netflix and their new Paramount+ channel perhaps in the mix too. Their £26 a month pricing is one they need to surpass from last year’s event.
Current Partnerships with Sky TV
Currently, Sky is giving offers on its current TV bundles. Customers may buy Sky Q (Sky’s TV box) with Sky TV channels and Netflix for £26 a month for 18 months, with a set-up fee of £20. Or there’s the Sky Q, Sky TV, Netflix, Sky Cinema, and Paramount+ bundles for £38 a month for 18 months, with a set-up fee of £20.
Those who want Sky Sports may buy the Sky Q, Sky TV, Netflix, and Sky Sports bundle for £44 a month instead of £51 a month for 18 months. The kids’ plan comes in at £32 a month for 18 months, while the Sky Sports plus BT Sport bundle is the most costly Sky Q package at £69 a month for 18 months.
If you’re considering getting a Sky Glass TV, then Sky provides a choice of options for this too, which enable users to pay off the price of the TV while paying for Sky at the same time. The Sky Glass, Sky TV, and Netflix combo are £37 a month for 48 months, whilst the Sky Glass and Cinema Bundle is £48 a month for 48 months. See all of the Sky Glass discounts here.
For Sky to stand out this year, they have to provide discounts on the Sky Glass TV. Their new TV, which needs customers to have a Sky subscription to use, will be available for 12 months from October 2022.
As we are in a cost-of-living crisis, then discounts need to be large and distinct from last year’s Black Friday 2021 event. For those who wish to continue with Sky for their TV watching, then I would hope Sky will pull some attractive deals out of the bag, ones that are less than their present TV contract of £26 a month.
